Candy restaurant was a project of Marti Guixe, he makes concept and ideas for commercial purposes. He got this commission from the Japanes communication agency Drill inc. The cross media project was for the department store Yurakucho Marui that was advertising a campaign for young people with the slogan ‘Fashion Therapy”. And they had signings with pills on it. That is what inspired Marti. He came with the idea of making a candy restaurant. Because the pills looked like candy and they would make people feel better. The candies are served in a menu, with instructions how to be eaten, this menu configure a meal. There were four different menues. Candy Restaurant in this way formalize the ocasionally act of eating a candy by bringing it into the rituals of allday food, and transforming then alldays into a more contemporary experience and feeling. The restaurant was there for only five days, but for clarity five very busy days.
